Most memorable sermon
Back in the 1960's few places had air conditioning, and this was also true of churches. Between my 4th and 6th grades, our family attended services at St. Mary's in Delaware, Ohio. One particular Sunday it was very hot even at ten o'clock in the morning, and Father Pat Byrne announced that he was not going to give a sermon that morning, but he would like to leave us with one thought, "There is a place hotter than this". That was the most memorable and meaningful sermon that I have ever heard.
